I had called another pest control company due to squirrels in my attic. Long story short after over $1100, a stuck squirrel and the other companies lack of response, I got in touch with Nukingstreet Pest and Wildlife Control. Jeff was here in 3 hours! He is professional, courteous, thorough and knows what he is talking about. He did a full inspection of the crawl space/attic and found a squirrel tucked in the hangover near the roof line. Which I had told the other company. Jeff set traps in the attic and we waited. It took about 2-3weeks, but FINALLY the squirrel was caught!! I can not tell you how thrilled I am with this outcome! Jeff is the best and I will ONLY call him in the future!! Jeff, THANK YOU!!!Posted on Google![]()

Highly recommend this company. As soon as spring hit, my recently bought house was overrun with ants inside and also all over the yard, like an insane amount. I reached out to Nukingstreet as they had good reviews and I like to give business to local companies as I feel they have more authenticity and better customer service than big national chains. They came out and got the ant problem under control, and also took care of a mice issue I was having around the property. They have a quarterly service subscription option which in my opinion is well worth it, Iโve had it for a year and plan to continue with it as itโs nice not having to worry about bugs and mice anymore. The owner Jeff is a really nice guy, and if thereโs anything that needs follow up they always offer to come back out.Posted on Google![]()

Granby is one of the most rural towns we serve. Its 40.8 square miles are mostly woods, rising to 1,153 feet in West Granby. About 35% of the town is preserved open space, more than 9,000 acres, including most of the 4,400-acre McLean Game Refuge, Enders State Forest and Granby Land Trust preserves like Western Barndoor Hill. For the roughly 11,000 people who live here, wildlife is not an occasional visitor. It lives next door.
In July 2025, a mother bear and her cubs walked into a home on Barndoor Hills Road through a basement screen door and helped themselves to food. Granby passed a bear-feeding ordinance in 2021. Bears are handled by CT DEEP and local police, not pest control. What we do is help you remove what draws them in (bird feeders, unsecured trash, pet food) and repair the doors, screens and crawlspace openings that raccoons, skunks and woodchucks take over afterward.
Both branches of Salmon Brook run through town and are federally designated Wild and Scenic. Wooded lots, stone walls, brooks and fields give ticks and mosquitoes ideal habitat right at the edge of most yards. Our tick treatments focus on the edges where ticks actually wait (leaf litter, wall lines and shaded borders) instead of spraying the whole lawn.
Granby has farmed since colonial times: orchards, dairies, and the shade tobacco that revived West Granby in the early 1900s. Today Holcomb Farm, Bushy Hill Orchard and Lost Acres Orchard keep that going. Barns, outbuildings and fields shelter mice, rats and woodchucks, and fall harvest is when mice push into nearby homes and garages. We seal foundations and outbuildings before the weather turns.
Granby Center and West Granby are both National Register historic districts, and the Abijah Rowe House dates to about 1732. Older wood-frame farmhouses develop gaps at sills, chimneys and rooflines as they settle, which is how bats, squirrels and mice get in. Most Granby homes also have private wells and septic systems, so we choose treatments and placements with that in mind.
We cover Granby Center (Salmon Brook), North Granby, West Granby and the rest of town, plus neighboring East Granby, Simsbury, Suffield, Hartland and Canton. Call (800) 466-9918 to book an inspection.

No. Black bears are managed by CT DEEP and local police, and Granby has a bear-feeding ordinance. We help remove what attracts them and repair screens, doors and crawlspaces so smaller wildlife cannot move in.
Yes, when it is done carefully. Most Granby homes are on private wells and septic. We use targeted treatments, keep products away from wellheads and explain what we apply and where.
Fields, barns and woodpiles shelter mice all summer, and they move toward warm buildings when nights cool. Sealing foundations, garage doors and utility openings before October makes the biggest difference.
Yes. We seal bat, squirrel and rodent entry points with appropriate materials and without damaging original trim, siding or stonework.
