I had called another pest control company due to squirrels in my attic. Long story short after over $1100, a stuck squirrel and the other companies lack of response, I got in touch with Nukingstreet Pest and Wildlife Control. Jeff was here in 3 hours! He is professional, courteous, thorough and knows what he is talking about. He did a full inspection of the crawl space/attic and found a squirrel tucked in the hangover near the roof line. Which I had told the other company. Jeff set traps in the attic and we waited. It took about 2-3weeks, but FINALLY the squirrel was caught!! I can not tell you how thrilled I am with this outcome! Jeff is the best and I will ONLY call him in the future!! Jeff, THANK YOU!!!Posted on Google![]()

Highly recommend this company. As soon as spring hit, my recently bought house was overrun with ants inside and also all over the yard, like an insane amount. I reached out to Nukingstreet as they had good reviews and I like to give business to local companies as I feel they have more authenticity and better customer service than big national chains. They came out and got the ant problem under control, and also took care of a mice issue I was having around the property. They have a quarterly service subscription option which in my opinion is well worth it, Iโve had it for a year and plan to continue with it as itโs nice not having to worry about bugs and mice anymore. The owner Jeff is a really nice guy, and if thereโs anything that needs follow up they always offer to come back out.Posted on Google![]()

Canton is one of the most wooded towns we serve. Its roughly 16,000 acres are hills and ridgelines (Ratlum Mountain, Onion Mountain, Mount Horr and Sweetheart Mountain) cut by brook valleys that drain into the Farmington River. More than a fifth of the town is protected open space, much of it held by the Canton Land Conservation Trust. That is a big part of why people move here. It also means wildlife lives right at the edge of most yards.
Canton Police issued a bear warning in April 2025, asking residents to take down bird feeders, secure trash and keep dogs leashed, and bears have gotten into Canton homes in recent years. Bears are handled by CT DEEP and local police, not pest control. What we do is deal with what draws wildlife in and what follows: torn screens, damaged shed doors and the crawlspace openings that raccoons, skunks and woodchucks move into afterward.
Lyme risk is real here. In 2023 testing by the Connecticut Agricultural Experiment Station, 4 of 21 blacklegged ticks submitted from Canton carried the Lyme bacterium. Yards that back onto woods, stone walls or brook corridors carry the most risk, so our tick treatments focus on those edges (leaf litter, wall lines and shaded borders) instead of blanketing the whole lawn.
Canton still has houses from the 1700s, 1800s mill-village homes and 20th-century neighborhoods. Collinsville grew up around the Collins Company axe works, which opened in 1826, and is now a National Register historic district. So is Canton Center, where homes like the 1785 Caleb Case House line Route 179. Older wood-frame houses settle and shift, opening gaps at sills, fascia, chimneys and rooflines. Bats, squirrels and mice use exactly those gaps. We seal them with durable materials that respect the building, not with a can of foam.
We cover Collinsville, Canton Center, North Canton and the Canton Valley along Route 44, plus neighboring Simsbury, Avon, Burlington, New Hartford and Granby. Call (800) 466-9918 to book an inspection.

Mice move indoors as Canton’s nights cool in fall, especially in older homes with fieldstone foundations. We find and seal the entry points instead of relying on poison. More about our rodent control.
Bed bugs travel with people and luggage, not geography. Our Bed Bug Central certified team inspects, treats and follows up until they are gone. More about our bed bug removal.
Wooded lots, stone walls and brook corridors make tick control a priority for Canton families and pets. More about our tick control.
Brooks, ponds and vernal pools breed mosquitoes. We target the shaded areas where they rest and the standing water where they breed. More about our mosquito control.
Carpenter ants favor damp wood in older framing. We trace the colony rather than spraying the trail. More about our ant control.
Paper wasps and yellow jackets build under eaves, in sheds and in the ground. We remove nests safely and treat to stop rebuilding. More about our wasp and hornet removal.
Roaches are uncommon in Canton’s single-family homes but do show up in apartments and food businesses. We identify the species first, then treat. More about our cockroach control.
Fleas come in on pets and wildlife. We coordinate indoor and yard treatment with your vet’s pet care plan. More about our flea control.
One recurring plan. Complete protection. We identify entry points, treat the source, and keep common pests from ever getting comfortable in your home or business.
We inspect, identify, and eliminate pests at the source using proven treatment methods, then protect your space to prevent future infestations.
We walk the property inside and out to find entry points, moisture problems and whatever is feeding the problem, not just the pests themselves.
Mechanical fixes come first. When treatment is needed, we use targeted, low-toxicity products only where pests live and travel.
We seal the gaps that let pests in, then set up a follow-up or recurring visit so the problem stays solved.
Protection that fits your life โ not a rigid contract.
Your home, covered year-round. We handle the pests โ you handle everything else.

No large lump sum. No annual payment stress.
No. Black bears are managed by CT DEEP and local police. We help with what attracts them, such as garbage storage, bird feeders and compost, and repair the sheds and crawlspaces that smaller wildlife move into afterward.
Common enough to take seriously. In 2023 state testing, 4 of 21 blacklegged ticks submitted from Canton tested positive for the Lyme bacterium. Properties next to woods, stone walls and brooks carry the highest risk.
Older wood-frame houses develop small gaps at rooflines, chimneys and trim as they settle, and a bat needs only about a quarter inch. We use one-way exclusion, timed around the summer pup season, then seal the openings.
Yes. We seal entry points with durable, appropriate materials and avoid methods that damage original trim or masonry, which matters in National Register districts like Collinsville and Canton Center.
It depends on the pest, the size of the property and what the inspection finds. We quote a clear price after the inspection and offer military and senior discounts. See our pricing page.
