I had called another pest control company due to squirrels in my attic. Long story short after over $1100, a stuck squirrel and the other companies lack of response, I got in touch with Nukingstreet Pest and Wildlife Control. Jeff was here in 3 hours! He is professional, courteous, thorough and knows what he is talking about. He did a full inspection of the crawl space/attic and found a squirrel tucked in the hangover near the roof line. Which I had told the other company. Jeff set traps in the attic and we waited. It took about 2-3weeks, but FINALLY the squirrel was caught!! I can not tell you how thrilled I am with this outcome! Jeff is the best and I will ONLY call him in the future!! Jeff, THANK YOU!!!Posted on Google![]()

Highly recommend this company. As soon as spring hit, my recently bought house was overrun with ants inside and also all over the yard, like an insane amount. I reached out to Nukingstreet as they had good reviews and I like to give business to local companies as I feel they have more authenticity and better customer service than big national chains. They came out and got the ant problem under control, and also took care of a mice issue I was having around the property. They have a quarterly service subscription option which in my opinion is well worth it, Iโve had it for a year and plan to continue with it as itโs nice not having to worry about bugs and mice anymore. The owner Jeff is a really nice guy, and if thereโs anything that needs follow up they always offer to come back out.Posted on Google![]()

Simsbury sits between two ridgelines with the Farmington River running down the middle. Talcott Mountain, home to Heublein Tower and Talcott Mountain State Park, rises on the east side. Onion Mountain, Sugarloaf, Hedgehog and West Mountain line the west. Between them are river floodplain, working farms like Tulmeadow and Flamig, former tobacco fields and preserves such as Stratton Brook State Park and the McLean Game Refuge. It is a beautiful place to live, and it puts wildlife and ticks close to almost every neighborhood.
Simsbury reported 671 bear sightings to the state in 2025, the second-highest of any town in Connecticut, and the town has had a bear-feeding ordinance since 2020. Bears are a matter for CT DEEP and local police, not pest control, but they change what we see on Simsbury properties: ripped-open garbage enclosures, damaged sheds and bird-feeder spills that bring in rodents. We help close up what attracts them and repair the openings smaller animals take over afterward.
In 2023 testing by the Connecticut Agricultural Experiment Station, 10 of 33 blacklegged ticks submitted from Simsbury carried the Lyme bacterium, about 30%, compared with 26.5% statewide. Lots that back onto the ridges, conservation land or the river corridor need the most attention. We treat the edges where ticks actually wait: leaf litter, stone walls and shaded borders.
Coyotes attacked dogs on trails off Bushy Hill Road in 2023, and raccoons, skunks, opossums and woodchucks are routine calls across town. We remove nuisance wildlife humanely, then seal decks, sheds and foundations so the next animal cannot move in.
Simsbury was incorporated in 1670 and has four National Register historic districts: Simsbury Center, Tariffville, East Weatogue and Terry’s Plain. Colonial-era and 19th-century homes are some of the most common places we find bats, squirrels and mice, because old rooflines and sills develop exactly the gaps they use. We do exclusion work that respects the building.
We cover Simsbury Center, Weatogue, East Weatogue, Tariffville, West Simsbury and Terry’s Plain, plus neighboring Canton, Avon, Granby, Bloomfield and Windsor. Call (800) 466-9918 to book an inspection.

The ridges, river corridor and large protected forests give bears plenty of habitat, and Simsbury reported 671 sightings in 2025, second-highest in Connecticut. Bears are managed by CT DEEP and police; we help remove what attracts them and repair damage that lets smaller wildlife in.
Worse than average. In 2023 state testing, about 30% of blacklegged ticks submitted from Simsbury carried the Lyme bacterium, against 26.5% statewide. Yards near woods, stone walls and conservation land carry the most risk.
Yes. We target the edges where ticks live (leaf litter, walls and shaded borders) rather than spraying the whole yard, and we explain re-entry times before we start.
Yes. Older homes often have the roofline and sill gaps that bats and squirrels use. We seal them with appropriate materials without damaging original trim.
It depends on the pest, the size of the property and what the inspection finds. We quote a clear price after the inspection and offer military and senior discounts. See our pricing page.
