I had called another pest control company due to squirrels in my attic. Long story short after over $1100, a stuck squirrel and the other companies lack of response, I got in touch with Nukingstreet Pest and Wildlife Control. Jeff was here in 3 hours! He is professional, courteous, thorough and knows what he is talking about. He did a full inspection of the crawl space/attic and found a squirrel tucked in the hangover near the roof line. Which I had told the other company. Jeff set traps in the attic and we waited. It took about 2-3weeks, but FINALLY the squirrel was caught!! I can not tell you how thrilled I am with this outcome! Jeff is the best and I will ONLY call him in the future!! Jeff, THANK YOU!!!Posted on Google![]()

Highly recommend this company. As soon as spring hit, my recently bought house was overrun with ants inside and also all over the yard, like an insane amount. I reached out to Nukingstreet as they had good reviews and I like to give business to local companies as I feel they have more authenticity and better customer service than big national chains. They came out and got the ant problem under control, and also took care of a mice issue I was having around the property. They have a quarterly service subscription option which in my opinion is well worth it, Iโve had it for a year and plan to continue with it as itโs nice not having to worry about bugs and mice anymore. The owner Jeff is a really nice guy, and if thereโs anything that needs follow up they always offer to come back out.Posted on Google![]()

Nukingstreet Pest & Wildlife Control, LLC handles pest and wildlife work across Bloomfield, Connecticut. Owner Jeffrey Davis founded the company in 2007 and holds the Associate Certified Entomologist credential. We work mechanical-first and chemical-last, and we skip SGARs and neonicotinoids on every job.
Bloomfield sits in a spot that suits wildlife well. Woods press in from two sides, and homes sit right against that edge.
Talcott Mountain and the Metacomet Ridge run along Bloomfield’s western edge. Penwood State Park keeps hundreds of wooded acres in the same corridor.
That traprock ridge is a highway for animals. Raccoons, skunks, squirrels and bats follow it down into yards on the west side of town. Homes backing onto the tree line see the most activity.
The Farmington River forms Bloomfield’s northern boundary. North Bloomfield still holds meadows, woods and some farmland.
Damp ground and open field edges suit rodents, groundhogs and skunks. Those properties often need different work than the built-up blocks near Hartford.
The southern and eastern parts of Bloomfield are denser and more developed. The northern and western parts stay closer to open country.
We treat them as separate problems. A tight lot near the Hartford line is not the same job as five acres off Duncaster Road.
The Town of Bloomfield lists bats, bears, bobcats, coyotes, deer, fisher, foxes, groundhogs, opossums, raccoons, skunks and turkeys as present here. Only a handful of those turn into service calls.
Connecticut classifies raccoons, skunks and foxes as rabies vector species. State law prohibits relocating them. Connecticut General Statutes 26-47(b) and 26-57 are the sections that say so.
That matters for your options. A live-trapped raccoon cannot be driven somewhere else and let go. It may only be released on the same property, or euthanized.
So we lead with eviction, not trapping. One-way doors let the animal leave on its own and stop it coming back. Then we seal the entry point so the next one never gets in.
Be careful of any company that offers to catch and relocate your raccoon. In Connecticut, that is not a service they can legally provide.
Bloomfield was the Parish of Wintonbury before it incorporated in 1835. Plenty of housing stock here is old enough to have gaps a bat can use.
Bats need a quarter inch of space to enter. Ridge vents, chimney flashing and soffit joints are the usual routes. We use one-way exclusion and time the work around the pup season, when young bats cannot yet fly.
Grey squirrels chew into soffits and roof returns, most often in autumn. Groundhogs dig under sheds, decks and barn foundations on the north-end properties.
Chipmunks tunnel along foundations and walkways. The fix for all three is the same: close the opening, remove the food source, and take away the cover they are using.
Bears and coyotes move through Bloomfield, mostly along the ridge and the river corridor. These are not removal jobs.
The work is prevention. Bring bird feeders in, secure bins, clean grills, and stop leaving pet food outdoors. The town gives the same advice, and it works.
Wildlife gets the attention, but insects and rodents drive most of our visits.
Tick pressure deserves a note. Yards that back onto woodland in Bloomfield carry more risk than an open lot, and the treatment plan should reflect that.
Bloomfield holds a large commercial base for a town of about 21,500 people. Office campuses, medical and care facilities, retail along Blue Hills Avenue and food service near Bloomfield Center all have pest obligations.
We handle commercial accounts including restaurants, offices, retail, schools and daycares. Documentation and low-chemical methods matter more in those settings, and our approach suits them.
We start with the physical fix. Seal the gap, cut off the food, drain the water, remove the harbourage.
Chemistry comes last, and only where it earns its place. We do not use second-generation anticoagulant rodenticides or neonicotinoids. Those products carry risk for pets, children and the birds of prey that hunt over the Bloomfield meadows.
We also run AI-powered remote monitoring on rodent accounts. It flags activity between visits rather than waiting for the next scheduled call.
We are based at 9 Moody Rd b11, Enfield, CT 06082, and cover Bloomfield along with the towns around it โ Windsor, East Granby, Simsbury, Avon, West Hartford and Hartford.

No. Connecticut law prohibits relocating raccoons, skunks and foxes, under General Statutes 26-47(b) and 26-57. A live-trapped animal may only be released on the same property or euthanized, which is why we use one-way doors and exclusion first.
We handle rodents, ants, ticks, mosquitoes, cockroaches, fleas, flies, bed bugs and stinging insects, plus bats, raccoons, skunks, squirrels, chipmunks, groundhogs and moles. Prevention advice covers bears and coyotes, which are not removal jobs.
We avoid second-generation anticoagulant rodenticides and neonicotinoids entirely. Our method is mechanical first โ sealing entry points and removing food and shelter โ with any chemical used sparingly and last.
Bloomfield is around twenty minutes from our Enfield base, so we cover it on regular routes. Call (800) 466-9918 and we will give you the next available slot.
Homes on the west side back onto the Metacomet Ridge and Penwood State Park. That wooded corridor brings raccoons, squirrels, skunks and bats right to the property line, so entry points there matter more.
